Four Steps to Successful Performance Management Evaluations

Plan Ahead and Prepare Yourself

Approximately two weeks before the meeting:

  • Evaluate your own performance as a manager
  • Solicit information from peers, other managers, and customers about the employee's performance
  • Gather helpful documentation, such as notes on performance, disciplinary action documentation, and/or training documentation
