Overview
This session is designed to provide a general overview of the safety programs and requirements at Rensselaer as well as introducing the attendee to the menu of available safety training sessions. A major goal of the orientation session is to outline specific activities that require additional safety training prior to initiating activities, and to provide the new employee with a current schedule of sessions to satisfy these requirements. In addition, the orientation session provides general information relating to Rensselaer’s fire protection systems, emergency incident reporting procedures, worker’s compensation reporting procedures, and emergency safety equipment.
