Professional and Organizational Development
Oversees HR policies and procedures; Hartford HR services; conflict of interest issues; Rensselaer's Affirmative Action Program; performance-related issues; disciplinary action; exit interviews; complaint investigations; and the coordination and delivery of staff professional development courses.
Compensation
Assists with issues regarding faculty and staff salary administration; position clarification; career ladders; performance management; compliance; and executive compensation.
Employment
Assists with issues regarding faculty and staff recruitment plans; employment application processes; sourcing, screening, and interviewing internal and external candidates; new hire processing; extensions and re-hires; independent contractor classification; and non-resident alien work authorization for faculty and staff compliance.
Benefits and Retirement
Offers assistance regarding faculty and staff health and welfare plans; retirement; tuition scholarship requests; leaves of absence; Rensselaer's Wellness Program; workers' compensation.
