RPI at Work offers a variety of on-line Graduate courses, Certificates, Degrees and short courses to assist professionals in their current role and the next steps in their career. Learners complete projects that address real-world challenges and benefit from Faculty practitioners that are experts in their field and mentor participating professionals.
RPI employees and spouses benefit from the ability to apply for the Institute’s Tuition Remission benefits. To learn more visit: https://ewp.rpi.edu/
If you are a regular or fixed-term employee scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week, you and your spouse are eligible to participate. You and/or your spouse must apply and be admitted via RPI’s Admissions office. RPI will pay 90% of the tuition cost for you and your spouse to take one class each per semester at RPI to a maximum of three classes each per fiscal year (July 1–June 30). There is a four credit limit per class. Reimbursement is contingent upon obtaining a minimum grade of C or Pass (in a Pass-Fail grading system). Please note: if you fail a class, you will be required to repay the benefit.
For regular full-time employees, RPI will reimburse 75% of the cost of tuition for one job-related class per semester taken at RPI-approved accredited colleges or universities. Usage of this external benefit counts toward the three classes per fiscal year limit. Spouses are not eligible for this benefit. This benefit is paid after the semester has concluded and a grades transcript and tuition statement have been attached to the OSCAR form.
Please speak to your department's Business Manager for access to OSCAR in order to submit an online Tuition Remission Form for review and approval.
Mentorship relationships are built on trust, guidance, and mutual growth. Generally, these relationships involve a more experienced or knowledgeable person supporting a less experienced one to help them achieve their goals. A Mentorship relationship can serve as a great way to execute on your development plan. Consider individuals both within the RPI community and externally for potential mentors.
