2025 MetLife Dental Insurance Benefit Summary
- To register for your online account:
- Visit www.mybenefits.metlife.com
- Begin to type Rensselaer and select Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as of 01/01/2025
- Select Remember my selection
- Click Register and complete the registration process
- If you've registered previously and do not see an active policy:
- Click on My Accounts
- Click: Don't See All Your Policies
- Select MetLife Group Benefits through an employer or association
- Begin to type Rensselaer and select Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as of 01/01/2025
- Click Submit
- The next screen will confirm that the account has been added to your MyBenefits profile, you may need to log out and log back in to complete the update
- Once the update is complete, you’ll need to set up your account by choosing a customer as the default account you want to see when logging in
- To view /print your ID card
- Log into your MetLife MyBenefits account
- Scroll to Shortcuts
- Click on View ID Cards

2024 Dental Benefits - Delta Dental
This benefit plan information is active through December 31, 2024.
Dental coverage is available to Rensselaer employees through Delta Dental, which includes coverage for the following services:
- Preventive and diagnostic services are covered at 100% twice a year.
- Other services are subject to an annual deductible of $50 per individual, or $150 per family.
- Services, such as fillings, are covered at 80% of the reasonable and customary charge.
- Major services, such as bridges and crowns, are covered at 50% of the reasonable and customary charge.
- The maximum benefit per calendar year per individual is $1,500.
- There is a once-in-a-lifetime orthodontic benefit of 50% of covered dental charges, up to a maximum benefit of $1,500 per person.
- Enrollment includes access to Member Perks:

Filing a claim
Employees whose provider is not in the Delta Dental network, should, upon receipt of their Delta Dental ID card, register on the website to access their account and file an out-of-network claim form.
Generally, dentists who are in the Delta Dental network will submit the employee’s claim to Delta Dental electronically for processing.
