Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) partners with Crisis24, a global medical and security assistance provider, to help keep employees informed, prepared, and supported while traveling internationally on Institute business. Crisis24 provides 24/7 access to travel intelligence, emergency assistance, and medical and security resources before and during international travel.
Who Is Covered?
All employees traveling internationally on approved RPI business are covered by this service. There is no cost to employees.

Before You Travel
Employees traveling internationally for Institute business are encouraged to:
- Download the Crisis24 Horizon Mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
- Sign in using your RPI credentials.
- Enable push notifications and location services to receive location-based safety alerts and emergency communications while traveling.
The Crisis24 Horizon Mobile app also allows you to:
- Receive travel alerts based on your location.
- Access destination-specific intelligence and safety information.
- View nearby medical facilities.
- Use the built-in Crisis Signal feature to request emergency assistance.
- Stay connected with RPI during emergencies.
