New England Nanny/Pinch Hitter
RPI is committed to supporting the mental health of our faculty and staff through services that help ease everyday responsibilities. Our partner, A New England Nanny (ANEN), offers services that allow you to focus on what really matters to you.
Child and elder care services, provided by New England Nanny, offer high-quality, in-home, back-up dependent care to Rensselaer employees on days when regular care is not available. This in-home service is available for employees’ children between six weeks and 13 years of age, or for an elderly parent who is mildly ill and needs to rest and recuperate at home. In addition, a Rensselaer employee may use the childcare service when their dependent child has a mildly contagious illness which would prevent attendance at his/her regular childcare arrangement, or when their child's school is closed due to holiday or other cancellation. Because Rensselaer subsidizes the cost of this service as a family-friendly benefit, the co-pay/cost is $3/hour.
Senior care companions are available to assist with chores, light housekeeping, meal prep, running errands and more. In addition, either service is available for a work-approved function or work-related travel. However, please note that this program does not include transportation for either children or elders.

Housekeeping and Other Services, are also provided. Services like cleaning, organizing, pet sitting and more are provided at discounted prices to RPI faculty and staff. If there is a job at home that needs to be done, contact A New England Nanny to schedule a free in-person consultation and ask how they can help.
